In this crazy, wacky, post 9/11 era of wackos a la Kim Jong Il and our various “Wars on (insert abstract noun here), do you occassionally find yourself obsessing over airline safety?  While the highly-publicized dangers of flying with shampoo and other liquids range from reasonable security measures to pure paranoia, it’s nice to know that there’s a website out there like Airsafe.com to provide an abusrdly-comprehensive wealth of Airline Accident and Airline Safety and Security Information.

The site is celebrating its 10th anniversarry, and from the looks of it, that was the last time it had a redesign. Borrowing a web-retro Craigslist look, Airsafe just lays out all the information there for you, from the latest security procedures and advice, to data on just about every plane crash in history, for all you morbidly curious folks out there.

Taking a flight on a 747 soon? Airsafe is happy to inform you that there have been 28 fatal events involving that model since 1974.  Looking for a safer airline? Southwest has never had a crash in more than 15 million flights. Play with the stats however you want, and remember one of Airsafe’s top ten passenger safety tips: Let the flight attendant pour hot drinks for you.
