Here a Brit, There a Brit, Everywhere a Brit!
Travel anywhere in this world, and there’s one thing you’re liable to see lots of: Coca-Cola. Ok, so there’s two things you’re likely to see lots of anywhere you go: Coke and Brits, and probably you’ll often see them together. A new study find that 5.5 milion Britons ‘opt to live abroad.’ That’s about 10 percent! This also explains why it’s easier to find a place to watch an international soccer game on a remote beach in Thailand than it is in New York City. Ok, an international soccer match, my bad. Potatoe / potahto, fries / chips, fags / smokes, snog / get it on, cut me some slack!

So how many Americans are taking the ex-pat plunge? Try around 4 million, or a little more than 1 percent. Hmmm, maybe this has something to do with the rumors that America is out of step with the rest of the world? Or maybe it’s more related to the fact that we don’t all live on a rainy little island?
